Britgolf opens flagship store in Lakeway

The British are coming to Central Texas, and golf is on the agenda.

Britgolf LLC opened its first store this week in Lakeway, giving golfers in the Lake Travis and Austin areas access to its personal services, many of which are not available in most on-course shops and retail golf stores.

Located at 3620 RR 620, the 3,000-square-foot store will be Britgolf's flagship location, and will feature state-of-the art golf simulator technology and two pro-line club-fitting centers.

Founded in October 2004, the retailer will focus on custom club fittings, club repair, lessons and PGA professional help. The store will also feature the latest P3ProSwing Golf Simulator and Analyzer, which is designed to give immediate and accurate analysis on a golfer's swing.

"Lake Travis and the surrounding area is the perfect market for our concept. The area has over 25 golf courses that attract both local and visiting golfers," says Andrew Capewell, CEO of Britgolf.

The new store will be open seven days a week, and tournament and corporate golf packages, and indoor golf lessons will also be available.

Cindy Spears, president of the Executive Women's Golf Association in Austin, says the addition of Britgolf in Lakeway will offer local golfers another opportunity to better their swings.
